Use of the MEBA website is a
privilege; not an entitlement. It is unlawful to
include content on this website that violates any
law, regulation, or MEBA policy. This includes, but
is not limited to the following: obscene material,
indecent material, defamatory, slanderous,
libelous, fraudulent or deceptive statements,
threatening, intimidating or harassing statements,
or material which violates the privacy rights or
property rights of others (copyrights or trademarks,
for example).
It is unlawful to include content
considered objectionable. Objectionable content is
otherwise legal content with which MEBA concludes,
in its sole discretion, it does not want to be
associated in order to protect its reputation,
image, or to protect its employees,
members, affiliates, etc. Objectionable content
is content which MEBA believes could legally leave
the Union open to liability or litigation. In the
case that you violate these rules, MEBA reserves the
right to terminate your activities or usage.
Any violation of any state or
federal law is a violation of this policy and MEBA
will hold you solely responsible for any damages or
expenses to/or incurred by MEBA, its
affiliates, employees, members, businesses, or
anyone else the violation is against. MEBA is
obligated by public law to respect and uphold
the privacy of its’ members, retirees,
employees, affiliates, etc.
Any information deemed
inappropriate, in violation of law, MEBA policy,
and/or regulation will result in immediate removal
of the illegal material. MEBA reserves the right to
remove such material from its servers, immediately
terminate your account, and you may be subject to
civil or criminal liability.
