Adam Vokac has been M.E.B.A.'s District and National President since January 2021. Previous to that he served as M.E.B.A.’s Executive Vice President for seven years.
Adam brings 10 years of Union official experience to the job (he also served as Representative in Honolulu for three years), holds an unlimited Chief Engineer’s license and shipped out for years with the M.E.B.A. aboard various vessels. He has run a tight ship at the Oakland hall, helped lock up contract improvements and ferreted out new job opportunities for members.
Adam graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point as Valedictorian in 2000. Immediately after the ceremony he drove to the M.E.B.A. New York/New Jersey hall and joined the Union.
